Some smart home platforms allow you to make automations. But you still have to write your own automations based on your situation. For many people this is a challenging task, and most people don’t know how to program.
Home Automator is a way to automate your home without programming or pseudo programming. And therefore it makes the smart home accessible to more people.
It works by having groups for device types, such as lights, sensors, switches and persons. Just add your device to the right group and Home Automator will take care of the programming.
